Slat Channels
Slatwall channels are the long strips of either metal or plastic that go inside the slats. These are highly recommended for heavier weight loads, as it protects the actual wooden slats, as sometimes the individual slats may break off if there is a lot of pressure on a given slat. Each slatwall has 15 full slats so some customers will figure out how many slats will hold hooks, brackets or shelves and will only buy channels for those slats.

Our slatwall panels are crafted from 18mm melamine-laminated MDF boards that are designed to withstand the demands of everyday retail use while remaining attractive and functional.

Why Is Shipping Cost So High?

If we are shipping out slatwall panels, they not only have to go out via LTL freight, but also have to be crated since the corners can get easily dinged during transit. The freight cost is expensive because full panels are 8 feet wide (96 inches) and all of the national freight carriers charge a premium for oversized pallets (96” long). Slatwalls are typically bought from local vendors for this reason.

How do I install slatwall panels?

Installation is straightforward, thanks to the modular design of slatwall panels. All you need is a screw and an electric drill and you’re all set--just drill them onto whatever wall you want them on!
